Read Joshua 3:1-17.
Today is about moving forward into a new land. How appropriate that this is the first post on the new RIPPLE EFFECT: VACAVILLE web site. Sweet.
1. I love that they have the ark of the covenant go before them. That’s so appropriate. It symbolizes God’s presence and their dependence on Him. Quick review…what four things are in the ark???
2. Verse 5 is an amazing verse. Joshua 3:5. “Get ready because tomorrow God’s going to do something big!” I like that.
3. I like that God does the exalting of Joshua. Joshua doesn’t have to prove anything. I know I need to hear that because sometimes I feel like I have to prove myself. You know what I mean?
4. You thought that the Red Sea was the only controlling of a body of water by God in the Bible. He stops the Jordan from flowing!
I love that God goes before them. And, I hope that this web site can be used in the same way– to bring people to a place that God promised. I pray that I never forget the intention of this blog–to grow closer to God. That’s it.
