Read Acts 27:27-44.

1. We use the phrase “praying for daylight,” but it seems like these poor guys were literally doing that. They were getting closer and closer to shore, but they were out of control.
2. He he he, the sailors tried to escape the ship; but Paul told the soldiers that they would be in trouble without the sailors. So…the sailors made it impossible for them to escape. He he he..
3. Then Paul tells everyone to eat. They were so stressed out for the past fortnight that they hadn’t eaten anything. You have to imagine that, at this point, the soldiers and sailors had to be like, “Who IS this prisoner?”
4. Paul basically broke bread for the whole boat. It calmed everyone down. All this time I was thinking that this was a small boat. Um, no, there were 276 people on board! Whoah!
5. At daylight, they headed for the beach; but the ship got stuck and broke.
6. Then the soldiers wanted to kill all the prisoners to keep them from escaping. Thankfully, Paul had proven himself to the centurion; and they decided to just get everyone to safety. This is getting kind of interesting…
