ripple effect: vacaville

What Is Ripple Effect?

Welcome to ripple effect, Covenant Community Church’s middle school, high school, and college-aged ministry. Our mission is crystal clear: “to reach students and help them walk with God.”

We don’t believe that teenagers are merely the future of the Church; we believe they are vital members of the church NOW! And our goal here is to help each students realize who God has created him or her to be.

We have four main ways to help students get plugged in: the Sunday night meeting, small groups, the Sunday morning gatherings, the college-aged Praying Mantis Society, and special events:

Our large group meeting, nicknamed “This Nameless Event,” which is held in the youth trailer from 6:30 – 8:30 on Sunday nights, is for students between 6th and 12th grade. During this time we have a live band, games, trivia, hang-out time, ridiculous videos, and a message that is designed to help teenagers figure life out.

During the school year high school small groups meet at different times during the week. mall groups are a great place for students to share what’s going on in their lives, process what was communicated during the message, and just do life together.

Our Sunday morning gatherings are launching in full force on October 7th, 2007. The 6th-8th-grade ministry (named Cornerstone for now) is located in the youth trailer from 9:00 – 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings. It is a place for 6th-8th graders to gather to discuss their lives, tell funny stories, study God’s Word, have small groups and share prayer requests. It’s a very laid-back environment and a good place for new students to crash. The high school and college ministry meet in the Ministry Center during that same time in a more laid-back conversational coffee shop environment. The idea is that it will be a great place to invite friends and ponder spiritual truths.

The Praying Mantis Society is for our college-aged students. We’re currently looking at a new way of reaching our college students in a fresh way. Stay tuned!

Boy do we ever have special events. In a typical year, you can expect guys events, girls events, a high school mission trip, a middle school camp, a high school camp, a leadership camp, a Halloween community service event, a Christmas party, and an event wrapped around the idea of helping find a cure for world hunger.
